Sugar Cookies

Cookie.pngI live in a house hold full of growing young boys, which means 2 things. The cookie jar can never be full enough & second I never win a family vote. I can’t seem to do much about the second one, but I am constantly making cookies. Yesterday I posted a picture on my Instagram account & was asked for the recipe. So here it is.

Sugar Cookies

1 c. butter

3/4 c vegetable oil

1 1/4 c. white sugar

3/4 c. powdered sugar

2 T milk

2 eggs

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

1 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

5 1/2 c. flour

Mix the sugars, oil, butter, milk & vanilla together. Then add dry ingredients. Roll out in walnut sized balls & roll in a bowl with sugar. Slightly press down  on cookie sheet & bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Frost.

Frosting.

Mix.

1/2 c melted butter

1 tsp vanilla

2 Tb milk

Now add Powdered sugar  until your frosting reaches the desired consistency.

Enjoy. And freeze any extra cookie dough to bake later.
